Long Awaited pictures
I received an email from the race photography people this week. I looked up the pictures and I have to say I'm a little jealous of some of my teammates. Around mile 17 they had camera people out to take photos. Well, when you look at other's pictures, you see a beautiful mountain landscape in the background, but not in mine. Nope. In mine-only trees and no hint of the mountains you are coming out of. Had I known what was behind me I probably would have stopped for the picture or ran back up the hill. Yes, I would have gone down a little ways and come back up the hill. BUT, they did take several pictures of the sprint to the finish line, so they have somewhat redeemed themselves. Unfortunately, from where I am posting this I do not have the link to share those pictures with you. However, I will share a couple taken by our awesome TNT staff lead, Amy.

This would be mile 9. I was excited to see Carly and Amy, Indiana TNT staff members. It provided a little distraction from the tiring gravel trail beneath my feet.
This just before mile 25. John "the Penguin" Bingham says that around mile 20 or 22, you get to the "bite me" stage. This being the stage where anything someone says to you makes you want to turn to them and yell or grumble "BITE ME!" So, we could call this the "Bite Me!" pic, but I don't really agree with that. I think of it more as the "sassy" pic. For those of you who know me, it probably fits me a little better. To my right is a lake. On the other side of the lake, the finish line. I was smiling, excited again to see Carly and Amy and beginning to pick up speed to get to that finish line. Normally, I probably would have stopped and struck a pose, but I had I done that here, I most likely would have fallen over. Thus, the mobile "sassy" pose. HA!
